Chepstow Crescent

London, UK. 2014

This house in London’s Notting Hill has been completely reconfigured. A new rear extension was built, as a kind of abstracted classical temple. A brick vaulted base supports a study clad with lime render incorporating ground recycled glass. Tall windows to the study are screened with an ornamental metal grille. The study is lined with felt that resembles marble, and lit by a gold leaf-lined roof-light. We installed new tall doors to the sitting room and snug to match the existing window boxes, and created a new kitchen/family room on the ground floor.
